Freya Mason

Country: Australia

Defender
Appearances: 7

Freya Mason was one of the first signings for the fledgling Racing Guantanamo side in 2007. Playing in central defence, Mason managed to build her reputation on her solid form and uncompromising style of play.

The former NSW State Women’s team player wowed Broome crowds with all the grit of a seasoned pro, and managed to endear herself to Racing Guantanamo fans with some crunching last ditch tackles.

Mason suffered from a detached hamstring, and as such her appearances for Guantanamo were limited, but when she played, Male Oval lit up as fans knew opposition teams were in for a tough time.

Mason was the first ever inductee into the Racing Guantanamo Hall of Legends.
