Mark Hunter

Country: England
Position: Goalkeeper
Appearances: 4

Mark Hunter came into the Guantanamo team as a quick replacement for Legendary goalkeeper Francois “The Rock” Kruger, but left as a Guantanamo Legend in his own right.

The diminutive Englishman didn’t look like a goalkeeper, but what he lacked in stature he made up for in determination and sheer spectacular dives.

Only playing 4 games for the Mighty Oranges, Hunter managed to keep the Guantanamo defensive record to the best it had ever been. When Hunter left, the Oranges sat on top of the Broomedesliga table with only 7 goals conceded – only 5 of those had been conceded whislt he was the custodian between the sticks.

Putting on a footballing lesson every time, the Englishman was well liked within the club, and Orange fans adored him.

Hunter retired to Darwin in the middle of the 2009 Broomedesliga season to move to Darwin with his wife.
